Community Helper

On Wednesday the 22nd of November the Kingswood Oval became a helipad! We were lucky enough to have Matt (father of Alex in Prep R) come in to talk to the Preps about his job as part of our Community Helper inquiry topic.

Matt told us about how he uses the helicopter to help fight fires, and we were able to see his uniform, helmet and hear the siren! The children had the oppertunity to go inside the helicopter and have a bit of a look, and then lucky Alex left school for the day in the helicopter! I don’t know how many of us can say we’ve got to do that!
