Thinking and Communicating with Clarity and Precision in 3/4
The 3/4 PLC have been turning up the spotlight on Thinking and Communicating with Clarity and Precision. Each week we have dedicated a 100 minute sessions to Curiosity and Powerful Learning, where the children are exposed to various ways they can communicate with precise and clear language.
As a community of learners, we have unpacked what Thinking and Communicating with Clarity and Precision might look like, feel like and sound like. We have focused our activities on opportunities to use specific word choice, body language, expression and materials to communicate our thinking.
During our Inquiry topic “Get the Message”, we have been learning about how symbols and emblems are used to communicate. Through Mathematics and Literacy the children are provided with many opportunities to demonstrate evidence of this Spotlight Habit as they describe, lead, instruct, explain, reason, and form judgments about the content and processes they encounter.
