Swimming
This week marks the end of our swimming program for students in Prep-3, with Thursday 29th being the last day. The students have had a wonderful time catching the bus and practicing their swimming skills.
The annual swimming carnival is being held on Tuesday December 4th. All students from grades 3-6 are expected to attend. The program will include novelty events for students who are not competent swimmers. Competition events in all strokes will be offered for those students wishing to complete at a high level, with district selection on offer. Students will require a PBSS hat, goggles, swimming togs, towel, appropriate footwear, rash shirt, sunscreen and a plastic bag for wet clothes. A meal deal by the P&C will be offered on the day, otherwise please ensure your child has a packed lunch. The canteen will be out of bounds. The cost is $8.00, covering pool entry and bus costs.
Payment is due by Friday 30th November.
Christmas Concert
PBSS Christmas Concert will be held on Thursday December 6th and it's fast approaching! An email was recently sent out with all the details of the concert. Students can purchase Please check your email or PBSS Facebook page for further information. It will be a wonderful night for the students, their families and the community to come together and celebrate Christmas. We have a variety of food trucks selling food and drinks from 3pm, Santa might make a visit and of course we get to see the students perform their class Christmas song!
Wristbands for entry are to be purchased from class teachers. Please send a gold coin donation for each wristband required in a named envelope and give to your child's class teacher. Students performing are not required to purchase a wristband.

2019 Year 7 High School Transition Day
Both Elanora SHS and PBC have their Year 7 2019 Transition to high school day on Monday 10th December. ALL students must be enrolled at the school they will be attending by 30th November. Any students not enrolled by this date will be unable to attend the transition day.
Year 6 Awards Night
A note has recently been sent out to invite our year 6 parents to Awards Night. This event will be held on Wednesday 12th December. The students will enjoy a meal at Pacific Surf Club at 5pm and walk down to the PBSS PAC to begin the awards ceremony at 6.30pm. The cost of this special night is $35.00 and is due by Friday 30th November. Please read the invitation for further details.
Meet the Teacher
On Thursday 12th December from 2 - 2.30pm students will transition to their new class for 2019. This allows students the opportunity to meet their new teacher, class mates and to find their way to their classroom, ready to start 2019.
Book Lists 2019
Just a reminder that Book List forms are due no later than Thursday December 13th. Please drop the completed order form with Mastercard/Visa details to the school office as no cash will be accepted. The booklist costs are much less than previous years, as we have eliminated replacement stationery items to encourage all families to order the complete pack through our preferred supplier.
Report Cards
Our teachers are currently working very hard assessing, moderating and writing report cards. Your child's Semester 2 Report Card will be emailed to you in the last week of school, unless you have indicated to the office staff that you require a hard copy. Please be sure to discuss the report card with your child as it's a reflection of the past six months of hard work and learning that has taken place.
