Harmony Day

On the last day of term (March 27th), we will be celebrating Harmony Day. Harmony Day is about celebrating inclusiveness and multiculturalism in Australia. Students are able to come dressed in their cultural clothes or wear the colour orange. We will celebrate by having a parade at 9.10am on the basketball court, which parents are welcome to attend. Afterwards, students will go back to their class to take part in a Harmony Day activity, which parents can also join in with. Children are asked to bring a plate of cultural food to share with their class for snack. Please don't bring food that needs to be heated or refrigerated. Thank you for your support!

Coronavirus

The Department of Education advice regarding the coronavirus has not changed in the last few weeks and is detailed in the link below.

https://www.education.vic.gov.au/about/department/Pages/coronavirus.aspx

The school remains committed to educating our students about good hygiene and providing sanitiser in classrooms. I will keep the community updated if there are any changes from the Department of Education into the future.

Prep Information Night and Parents Helpers Session

Thank you to our Prep team for running another engaging information session on Monday night. I also greatly appreciated the large turn out from parents . Thank you again for your support of the school and your child's education.

Also a big thank you to Assistant Principal Leasyl Richards and our MSL Learning Specialist Wendy Jarvis for running two Parent Helpers Information sessions this week. We look forward to seeing more parents helping out in our classrooms soon.

Prep Enrolment 2021

School Tours for Prep 2021 and have now commenced and we have already received enrolment applications.  Tours occur on Monday and Tuesday morning between 9.30am-10.30am and are booked through the school website.  If you have friends, family or neighbours with school age children, especially those commencing Prep in 2021 please encourage them to book a tour to find out more about our wonderful school and community.

Parents with children already at our school with a sibling commencing Prep in 2021 are most welcome to attend a tour.  We request that siblings for 2021 be enrolled as soon as possible to enable us to identify the number of places remaining for new families. Please print off a copy of the enrolment form from the school website and return to school ASAP. Enrolment forms are also available at the office.

School Photos

School photos are coming up on Wednesday 11th March. Please make sure your child is dressed in full school uniform on the day. Envelopes to order photos were sent home last week. Please contact the office if you have any questions. Family Photo envelopes are also available at the office.

Movie Night - Friday 17th April (First week of Term 2)

The Outdoor Movie Night which was postponed earlier this term has been rescheduled for Friday 17th April.

More details will be available closer to the date. The movie screening will be Toy Story 4.

Excursion and Incursions

Just a reminder to all families about the change to consent and payment for incursions and excursions this year. As approved by School Council, the school does not have an excursion levy this year. Therefore excursions and incursions will need to be paid for on an individual basis as they are posted on Compass throughout the year.

Excursions and incursions will need to be consented and paid for by midnight two days prior to the event occurring. For example if an excursion is on Friday it needs to be consented and paid for by midnight on the Wednesday night.

If payment and consent has not been received by the due date, your child will not be able to attend the excursion/incursion and will be allocated to another classroom during that time.

Knowing who has consented and paid for an excursion or incursion two days prior,  greatly assists the school with numbers, buses, costs and other planning for these events.

Please check Compass regularly as well as the Year Level newsletters to find out when excursions and incursions may be occurring for your child. If you have any questions please contact the office.
