Athletics carnival goes off with a bang!
We are so proud of the efforts of all students who put their best foot forward and had a go at the recent Senior Athletics Carnival.
The winter sunshine, colourful outfits and enthusiastic cheering brought energy and excitement to the event, and those crucial House points!
Congratulations to all students, staff and parents on a terrific day.

Girls just wanna have fun - on the footy field!
A rising number of SMC students are taking up Aussie Rules Football as a competitive sport - and they are having an absolute blast!
Earlier this year it looked unlikely that St Mary's would have its own girls' footy team, but thanks to a group of passionate and determined Year 9 and 10 students, their goal of playing AFL in green and blue has became a reality.
Today, the 19-strong team is competing in the schools roster and they are proving they have what it takes to succeed on the field.
The side plays every Tuesday after school at 4.00pm and spectators are very welcome to attend the games to support the players and cheer them on.
For the team, winning isn't the end game. Instead, their focus is on having fun, and they are enjoying the opportunity to have a kick of the footy and build their skills in the sport.
While some players have experience in the game, other are just starting out and learning the ropes, but they are all showing up to each match with enthusiasm and commitment, and most importantly, supporting one another.
