Student achievements

Congratulations to the following students:

Maya Bowles (Year 6) and Abigail Gravell (Year 8), who have been named overall state winners in the NEAA Nagle Prize 2022.

Abigail (Year 8)

Maya took out the win in the primary division of the Tasmanian competition for her poem, which judges felt captured the legacy of Nano for Presentation people.

Abigail earned her top prize in the secondary division of the competition for her entry, which included significant events in Nano's life.

To have two students from St Mary's announced as state winners in their respective divisions is fantastic!

The quality of Maya and Abigail's writing and the way in which they have drawn from the Presentation charism and the legacy of Nano Nagle to inspire their work is very impressive.

Ella Holmes (Year 8), Cate Clingeleffer (Year 10) and Amelie Cox (Year 12), were voted the Most Valuable Players (MVPs) in their division in this season's water polo competition.
