Year 10

We continue to work with our Senior School students on subject selection for 2023. Due to the work with the Project 23 schools, we are able to offer significantly more subjects for our students to participate in. 

Our goal is engaging the student voice, and we look forward to the next step in the process where students, parents and carers come together to attend a final subject selection meeting on Thursday 8 September at 4.30pm– 7.00pm in the Mary Morgan Wing.

Year 7, 2024

Applications for enrolment in Year 7 in Catholic schools are due on Friday 9 September 2022. If you have friends or relatives keen to enrol their daughters in Year 7 at St Mary’s College for 2023, could you please let them know that if they have not already done so, they will need to contact our Enrolment Officer, Nicole Wighton at the College on 03 6108 2560 or email nwighton@smc.tas.edu.au to progress an enrolment application. 

Please note that Year 7 2024 enrolments close on 9 September 2022. 

Meet the Principal Tours

The next ‘Meet the Principal Tour’ will be conducted by our Deputy Principal, Caroline Wilson-Haffenden on Friday 16 September at 9.30am. 

Caroline will commence the session with a meeting and presentation, followed by a College tour led by our student leaders so parents and carers have the opportunity to speak to students and staff, and see what we do during a day at St Mary’s College.

Nagle Education Alliance of Australia (NEAA) Student Conference, 16-19 August 2022

I was lucky to attend the conference with our students and staff in Wagga Wagga and was incredibly proud of how our students engaged with students from other Presentation schools from across the nation.  

It is important to be an active partner in this alliance as it keeps our Presentation ethos nurtured and renewed.
