The APS News group is a part of the Young Leaders Program that helps spread the news of what is happening around the school. They publish stories and interview students and teachers from around the school. We interviewed a couple of members and this is what they had to say:

What is the main reason that this group is a part of the young leaders program?

The main reason that this group is a part of the Young Leader Program because it helps us to demonstrate responsibility. We get to spread our schools news to people, children, uncles, and parents. The APS news program is for parents and students to know what happens.

What do you do each week on Tuesday afternoon?

Each week we go to interview students and teachers around the school and ask them the questions. We often get to interview kids from each classroom and go ask them specific questions. We interview them about special events around the school.

Why do you think this group is important for students at Albanvale Primary School?

This group is important to the students of Albanvale Primary School because we need to spread the news about the exciting things happening at our school. This includes the what the Young Leaders groups are doing and what each class is doing. By informing the students about what's happening they get excited by it.

What is your favourite part of being in this group?
My favourite part is to interview people and write stories about what is happening in the last week. We also get to walk around the school to tell people that they are going to be in the newsletter and seeing their reaction.

This is an amazing part of the Young Leader Program and everyone in this group were all so excited to be a part of it. This a really good opportunity to spread the news of the school. When you get an opportunity, check out each edition of the newsletter to see what is happening at Albanvale Primary School.
