What is so special about this class? Let’s find out!

For this week’s class we have 1/2 A, one of the classes that are part of the school's amazing 1/2 cohort. As part of the class spotlight we interviewed two of the delightful kids, asking them some questions about what they do in reading, writing and mathematics and really what has been going on within their amazing class. They were happy to answer, and this was what they said:

We interviewed Colin and Demiana
What makes your class such a special place to learn in?

Because we get to sit down in the classroom, it is also very warm when we turn on the heater. Sometimes we get to play Minecraft, Mathletics and Reading Eggs. We also have lots of great people in the class that help us to learn.

What is your class doing at the moment in Reading?

We are learning how our thinking grows or changes. This week, we are learning about kangaroos because our class wanted to learn about kangaroos. We also learnt about what our favourite subject is. I really like reading.

What is your class doing at the moment in Writing?

We are writing a response text. We were practicing by deciding If stem was the best subject or not. Also we had to learn if we were for or against which meant yes or no. We need to give heaps of reasons.

What is your class doing at the moment in Mathematics?

In Maths we are learning about measurement. Today, we were making paper robots, also we had to find out how much blocks we used when making it. It was a fun experience.

What is your favourite part about being a student at Albanvale Primary School?
We get to make friends at school and play with them when we are outside. Also our teacher is very funny and nice and love cleaning the classroom. Each teacher is fun and kind and we get to do lots of fun stuff.

It is clear that the students in 1/2 A are doing some awesome work and this has allowed the class to learn some great things. We will be back next week to highlight the great work that another of Albanvale Primary School Classes work is doing.
