The Lego Club is an amusing club that is run at our school to provide children who enjoy playing with legos help to interact and communicate with others who also enjoy Legos, providing access to play and social opportunities with other children. The Lego Club also helps children to develop and reinforce play and social skills.

To find out more about what the Lego club is all about and why everyone should have a go at it we caught up with the teacher that runs it and asked them some questions.

Teacher Interviewed: Ms. Mitter
Why is the Lego Club so important for the students at Albanvale Primary School?

The Lego club is important because it gives them some structured playtime and the opportunity to collaborate with their friends or meet new friends.

What sort of things do you do in the Lego Club?

We do a variety of activities like free play so students can choose what types of Legos they want to play with from normal Lego, Duplo blocks, or Magnetic sheets.

What kind of people do you think would really enjoy what you do in the Lego club?
Everybody, but we usually get more younger students. It’s generally a very inclusive club and we accept all grades from Prep-6.

When can the students come and try out this amazing club?
Every Monday lunchtime with Me (Miss Miter) and Mr Ibrahim supervising.

The Lego Club is something that helps you to improve your skills and it is a lot of fun. I know that we are going to come and create some awesome things with the people that are part of the club.
