YEAR OF ST JOSEPH

STAGGERED RETURN FOR STUDENTS IN GRADE 3 TO 6

We hope that you have all had an enjoyable school holidays. We are excited to be easing back to face to face teaching and to have all our students back at school very soon.

We have activities to look forward to this term:  Junior Swimming Program, Foundation/1/2 Excursion to Guymbya Park, 3/4 Camp, Bike Ed, Junior Aths, an incursion, Gr 5 Bike Ride to Meeniyan and Grade 6 Graduation and Bike hike to Inverloch.  We are praying all of these activities can occur.

The plan the Victorian Government has announced is for a staggered return for regional students to return to face-to face learning from the commencement of Term 4.

From Monday 4 October 2021, students in Foundation to Year 2 will return to the classroom full-time.

GRADES 3 TO 6

From Monday 11 October 2021, a staggered approach will apply so all students are back in the classroom at least part-time:  There will be onsite remote learning intention activity for this week as well.   A reminder that only essential workers children can attend onsite remote learning. If a parent is at home (includes working from home) children must remote learn from home, unless an arrangement has been put in place with Liz or Anna. Any previous arrangements can remain in place.

• Years 3 and 4 (Tuesdays and Wednesdays)

• Years 5 and 6 (Thursdays and Fridays)

From Tuesday 26 October, all students in regional Victoria will be back in the classroom full-time.

The Grade 3 to 6 team will continue to use Google Classroom for all tasks.

PRAYER

Dear Lord,

Please help us to find joy in the midst of the mundane.

May we live with an attitude of gratitude,

take nothing for granted and live life to the fullest.

Help us to focus on you and not the turmoil around us.

Thank you in advance for your strength,

energy and grace that will sustain us.

In Jesus' name we pray.

Amen
