Dear St Therese's Families,

I hope you all enjoyed the weekend with a little bit of extra freedom and could catch up with family and friends who I am sure you have not seen in many months! I enjoyed seeing my mum and dad in real life rather than virtually. Not being able to see those close to me has made me appreciate the little things in life and count my blessings!

It was great to see the students who returned to school last week and today it was wonderful to welcome back the Year 3 and Year 4 students. The students were very impressed with the progress of the building project. They loved walking into the new administration area and checking out the Sick Bay, offices and staffroom. It won't be too many more months before the Junior students (F-2) can move into their new classrooms too! It is anticipated to be completed in early February.

This Friday 29th October we will celebrate World Teacher's Day. I am so tremendously proud of the work that all staff at St Therese's do. Despite being in lockdown, our teachers are committed to inspiring our students and providing for them the best learning opportunities possible. Our Education Support Officers are equally amazing and work tirelessly to support the learning of the students in their care. Our Admin staff are always friendly and ready to help with whatever needs to be done. On behalf of the entire school community, I would like to say THANK YOU! to the teaching team for your hard work, passion for learning and teaching, and of course your professionalism.

I thought I would share the heartfelt letter that Maria Kirkwood, Director of Catholic Education - Diocese of Sale sent to the school staff this week.

Have a wonderful week and don't forget that next week Monday 1st November is a School Closure Day for ALL students and Tuesday 2nd November is a Public Holiday for the Melbourne Cup.
