Transition  for School Children 2022

It has been wonderful seeing the confidence in the children grow as their transition experiences at school have increased over the last few months.  The children have been attending lessons in the gym, music room, Stage 1 classrooms, eating recess and lunch with the other Stage 1 children and playing with the school children to feel what it is like to play with lots of other children.  We celebrate their confidence and bravery to explore, ask questions and speak so positively about 'their school.  Being able to offer a 3-5 year old early learning program to our community is certainly giving our children a great start to their school years.

Children who are attending School in 2022, will be attending 3 Transition Sessions at Good Shepherd.

  • November 11
  • November 18
  • December 6

All three of these sessions are compulsory and parents are asked to attend the parent information presentations that will be run at the same time.  Children who are normally booked into Curiosity on these days can attend after their session.  We ask families to sign their child in, or notify us if a staff member is required to walk their child back to Curiosity.

Information about these sessions have been sent to you by the School Stage 1 Team via your orange school envelope.

As we offer further experiences for your child, we encourage you to prepare yourself as you set the tone for this exciting new milestone.  Here are a few publications to encourage and support your journey as a parent in setting your child up well.
