PRINCIPAL'S REPORT

Dear Parents and Friends,

 

We are certainly excited that all students will be on-site from this Friday 22nd October. We hope that all the guidelines and mandates around masks, vaccinations, cleaning etc. continue to keep our community safe and well, and thank you for your ongoing support in this space.

 

Vaccinations

Thank you to those parents who have had to drop into the front office this week and have followed our new protocols. Please refer to my email sent on Monday 18th October for details, or feel free to get in touch.

 

Fun Fridays

  • Week Three, Friday 22nd October: Emoji Bingo
  • Week Four, Friday 29th October: La De Dah Day- In the lead up to Melbourne Cup Day, we encourage students to come dressed in themes related to the races. This might be dressed as though attending the races, as a jockey or horse, or in colours of a Cup favourite. We will also be having a picnic lunch on the turf, with a parade during the day.

Reminders

- Given that all students are back this Friday, Icy Poles will be for sale each Friday beginning this Friday 22nd October, 50c each. Money raised goes towards Social Justice initiatives. 

- Hats are to be worn when outside this term, please ensure these are named.

- Drink bottles, we encourage students to bring in a named drink bottle daily.

- Jumpers, there are a number of unnamed jumpers in lost property. Please ask your child or contact class teachers to have a look if you are missing jumpers. These will be cleaned out at the end of the term.

 

- **Face masks are required for students in years 3 to 6, only when indoors on school premises, unless an exception applies.  There are a number of lawful reasons for not wearing a face mask, including for staff and students who are unable to wear a face mask due to the nature of their disability, medical or mental health condition. Families are asked to provide masks for their children.

Please read emails for current information about attending a religious ceremony. All information about Sacraments will be sent via emails, please check spam boxes if you have a Hotmail address.
