This year, the Primary Sub School has some new Student Leaders, as well as some Student Leaders who will carry on their role from last year. The Student Leadership team meet every fortnight, and the students follow a roster to take turns running the meeting using a slideshow. As well as discussing ideas and making decisions for our school, our Student Leaders learn important skills including how to raise and lower our flags, how to knock, enter a classroom and give out posters and how to give tickets to students and staff making good choices. Our Student Leaders support each other and their peers to learn and follow our JSA School  Expectations:

  • Look After Self
  • look After Others
  • Look After Property

First Term is all about learning routines and expectations. For example, when to put our hats on, how to walk to the playground in a group and how to wait for a turn on the swing. It has been fantastic to see students learning the school routines and learning to follow the JSA school expectations. Keep up the great work Primary students!

Room 2

Room 2 has had a fantastic start to their first year of school. They have enjoyed getting to know their classmates and teachers and are already building great friendships. Room 2 enjoys playing out in the playground, exploring sensory and fine motor activities and are beginning to learn fun and new things. They have been learning how to sit in the morning circle and use a mini schedule to complete their work tasks. The staff in room 2 are proud of how well they are doing. Room 2 has enjoyed exploring different parts of the school, we have spent time in the kid's kitchen cooking delicious food and enjoy spending our afternoons in the OT room. We are excited for the year ahead and all the things we will be learning.
