Principals' Message

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome to Week 4! When visiting the classrooms we are proud to see the students have all settled well into school routines and are engaged as learners. They are to be commended on their focus, cooperation and the overall positive start they have made to the 2023 academic school year.

Leadership Mass

This week we look forward to celebrating the start of our new school year as a Catholic Community with our Opening School Mass/Leadership Mass. We look forward to sharing this special event with our Year 6 parents and carers. Please see more details in the Religious Education section of this Newsletter.

Annual School Improvement Plan

The Annual Improvement Plan (AIP) is a core part of school business.  It provides a sharp focus on school improvement priorities and provides clarity and purpose for all members of the school community as we work towards the goals set.  The AIP will be reviewed and evaluated regularly throughout the year.

Our main goals for 2023 are:

  • To sustain a Christ-centred inclusive learning community aligned with the Living Well, Learning Well Framework and our Catholic Principles and Values;
  • To continue to embed a school-wide, self reflective culture focused on improving pedagogy;
  • To continue to build strong, effective leadership and teaching teams.

We look forward to sharing our achievements with you throughout the year.

Enrolling Now for Kindergarten 2024

Our enrolment period for Kindergarten 2024 has commenced with applications accepted until the end of Term 1. If you have a child who is ready for Kindergarten next year, please contact the school office for an enrolment form.

Parents and Friends Association and School Advisory Council

There are two parent bodies which provide opportunities for parents/carers to be involved in supporting the school - the Parents and Friends Association and the School Advisory Council.

Our first Parents and Friends Association Meeting for 2023 will be held in the Staffroom tomorrow,  Tuesday 14th February at 5.30pm. This is our AGM and all positions will be available. We warmly welcome all parents and carers to come along and become involved in this important facet of school life, especially our new Kindergarten parents! We look forward to seeing you there.

The School Advisory Council members will meet in the Staffroom on Wednesday 15th February at 5.30pm.  This is our AGM and all positions will be available. Please contact the Administration Office for a nomination form and return it to the school by the COB on Tuesday 14th February, 2023.

COVID Safe Measures

This year, schools will continue to follow guidance issued by NSW Health to support the safety and wellbeing of our school communities:

Staff and students with COVID-19 symptoms

If a student or staff member is unwell and has any symptoms they should always test for COVID-19 and not attend school until they are symptom free.

Positive COVID-19 cases

If a student or staff member receives a positive result on with a RAT or PCR test they should:

  1. Record the positive result through the Services NSW website or app
  2. Notify the school of the positive results as soon as possible

May God bless you and your family,
