BSC Swimming Carnival

Beaumaris Secondary College is hosting its annual Whole School House Swimming Carnival for Years 7 - 12 on Wednesday 8 March. Students will have the opportunity to participate in a range of traditional swimming events such as freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke, butterfly and freestyle relays, along with novelty events such as classic catch, finska and best-dressed competitions.

Participation in these events allow students to earn points for their house, whilst also gaining entry into the Division Swimming Team, if successful. Students will be given the opportunity to sign up for the events they wish to participate in during GOAL on Monday 27 February with their mentors. On the day, students should arrive to Beaumaris Secondary College at the usual time of 8.40am, where they will be shuttled to and from the venue via busses with relevant year level staff. Students will return to school by 3.10pm and will be dismissed from there.

Students are highly encouraged to wear their house colours or their healthy lifestyles uniform. We kindly ask that parents do not attend the event on the day. Students are encouraged to bring the following items:

  • Appropriate swimming attire (bathers, goggles, swim cap)
  • Towel
  • Hat
  • Sunscreen
  • Water
  • Packed lunch (there is a canteen where food can be purchased, however options are limited)

The following items are not permitted and should be kept in their lockers for the day:

  • Mobile phones
  • Airpods/ear phones
  • Speakers

Please Note: consent and payment is due by Thursday 2 March. The cost of $40 covers both Whole School Carnivals (Swimming & Athletics). More information will be provided for Athletics in Term 3.

We look forward to an awesome day!
