Annual House Swimming Carnival

The 79th Annual House Swimming and Age Championships took place at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre, Homebush last Thursday. The Class of 2023 led a backdrop of lively chants and war cries as our swimmers took to the pool. The level of participation was outstanding and special mention must be made of Jack Taylor (Year 10) who set a new College record of 24.30sec in the 16 Years 50m Freestyle. Congratulations to the Hickey House who reigned supreme winning the carnival.

I would like to extend my congratulations to Noah Kite (Year 12), who for the second year in a row, was crowned the College’s Opens Swimming Champion. Well done also to the students below who placed in their respective age groups.

Mouthguard Special Offer

As you know, Winter sport trials commence in Week 7 of this term and a mouthguard is a piece of mandatory equipment for all Rugby and AFL players here at St Patrick's College.

The College has been approached by Old Boy Michael Ianniello who is generously providing the following offer to SPC families:

Should sufficient interest be registered, Shield Mouthguards will come to the College to conduct fittings for impressions on Friday 3 March. This will give families the opportunity to obtain the best type of protection without the trouble of organising a visit at a dental clinic for a fitting. (Please note if you would prefer to visit and have the fitting done in the clinic at Leichardt, the same deal applies).

Should you like to proceed with taking up this great offer, I would ask that you please fill in the following booking form by no later than 3:00 PM, Tuesday 28 February to book a fitting in.

Please note that if your son/s have braces or fixed orthodontic appliances, unfortunately they cannot be seen on a school visit. Shield Mouthguards are happy to assess and advise on suitability, but all appointments would need to take place in the clinic.
