Year 5 & 6

Anna Kelly & Laura Courtenay

On Tuesday Stage 3 went to Centennial Park for our STEM program. Students visited the Flying Fox Colony at Lachlan Swamp. They were asked to be scientists and observe their surroundings using a Kestrel, a tool that measures humidity, wind speed and direction. They then moved onto Lachlan Swamp where the students recorded observations of the behaviours of the bats.

On Thursday, the Year 5 and Year 6 boys visited

Marcellin College. The boys participated in a science experiment in the laboratory. All students were very inquisitive and it was a very interesting and enjoyable afternoon. We learned that every action has an equal and opposite reaction.
