Worn Gundidj Nursery Tour - Yr6 Koorie Student

Today the Year 6 Koorie Leaders and I went to the Worn Gundidj plant nursery. We tasted some bush foods. We tasted plants like Pig Face, Mountain Pepper and Geraldton Wax. We got to try Timboon Ice-Cream which is flavoured with the local plants. It was delicious! We looked at and chose some plants which will be good to grow in our Cultural Garden. Thank you to Mr Lee and Mrs Mills for the opportunity.

It’s Tuesday 14th of February and we have just come back from the Worn Gundidj nursery and we had a blast! We went to the nursery so we could get plants for the new Cultural Garden down by the 3/4 playground. We are very happy with how the garden turned out but after we put the plants in from the nursery it is going to look a whole lot better. We just ask that your children keep this area clean and treat it with respect. We can’t wait to see the finished garden.
