From the Deputy Principal

Celebration Evening

Our Celebration Evening celebrates our student’s many gifts and talents, culminating in our Year 10 farewell to commence Senior Secondary Education.  Your attendance at this evening is warmly anticipated.

Attendance at Celebration Evening is compulsory for all students in Years 4 – 10.  If there are exceptional circumstances that will prevent a student from attending Celebration Evening, please indicate this in writing to Mrs Fiona Nolan.

On the night, all students are required to wear their Summer Uniform with blazer, white ankle socks, polished shoes and correct hair accessories, but without their boater.  Should uniforms require repair or cleaning, please organise this in advance in preparation for the Celebration Evening.

All musicians and students involved in the dance performance on the night need to be at Wrest Point by 7.00pm.  Dancers should arrive at Wrest Point in their College uniform and make their way directly to the dressing rooms to change into costume.

Year 10 students are required to report to Heads of House outside the Wellington Room at 7.00pm.  All other Years 4 to 9 students need to be seated in the Tasman Room at the Wrest Point Convention Centre by 7.15pm.  The Celebration Evening commences at 7.30pm and should conclude between 9.30pm and 9.45pm.  Parents, family members and friends are all warmly invited to attend.  It is expected that all guests are seated by 7.20pm to allow the proceedings to commence on time.

Rehearsal Day – Tuesday 10 December

There will be a full day of rehearsal and preparation at Wrest Point for all Years 4 to 10 students on Tuesday 10 December.  The day begins at the College at the usual commencement time and students will be escorted by their Class Teachers or Secondary Teachers to Wrest Point for rehearsal.

The College Sports Uniform is to be worn on this day and sun hats will be necessary as break times may be spent outside.  Students will need to bring recess, lunch and plenty to drink on the day as there is no opportunity to purchase food or drink.  NO VALUABLES ARE TO BE TAKEN TO WREST POINT AS BAGS MAY NEED TO BE LEFT UNATTENDED IN THE AUDITORIUM FOR PART OF THE DAY.  (This includes iPads, mobile phones, money etc.)

Students from Years 7 – 9 will be dismissed from the Convention Centre at approximately 2.20pm.  Those students needing to wait for buses to depart at the usual times will be supervised within the College grounds. Year 10 students’ Graduation rehearsal will be completed by 3.20pm.

Students from Years 4 to 6 will be dismissed from the Convention Centre at 2:20pm if a parent or older sister is present.  All other Primary students will return to school and will be supervised until 3.00pm as usual.

Library Overdues / Money Owed to the Office

Secondary students are reminded that all library books must be returned and all money owed must be paid to the Office before the end of Term.

To ensure your child’s report is released promptly in SEQTA please make sure all money owing to the office has been repaid and all library books returned.
