A HUGE congratulations to Emily Dietrich for gaining selection into the Polding Rugby Girls 7's side. Emily will travel to Sydney in September to compete in the NSWPSSA Rugby 7's Championships. Looking forward to hearing the results Em!
Leif Dietrich - NSW Rugby League
Leif Dietrich was selected to represent New South Wales at the Open Rugby League NSWPSSA Carnival this week in Sydney. Leif and his team mates walked away with a Bronze medal! You should be super proud of your efforts Leif! AMAZING!!!
Diocesan Athletics Carnival
We would like to take this opportunity to wish the competing students all the best at the Diocesan Athletics Carnival on Friday 23rd August, 2019. Mrs Marisa Cartan and Miss Brittany Cloake will be supervising the children whilst at the carnival. All children will receive their representative polo on Thursday 22nd August. A big thank you to all those parents who have volunteered some of their time to help out in the Canteen. This is a fundraising event for our School Parent Association and extra assistance would be appreciated. A big thank you to Bec Evans, John Williams and Rose Smith who have already offered their assistance. If you are able to assist, please complete the link below to help us out.
Basketball
Sam and I would like to take this opportunity to thank the huge roll up of parents to support St Edward's Basketball. Thank you for showing your support! We are super excited to announce that the following people will create the St Edward's Basketball Committee: Scott Ward (President), Megan Stead, Sophie O'Neill, Kristie Senuik, Julie Cameron, Bonnie Lane, Matthew Reilly, Rick and Maree Nawer. In the future, all organisation and notes will come directly from the committee rather than the school. During the meeting there were a number of reasons provided as to why we are moving away from St Ed's Basketball being organised by teachers and moving towards commencing a committee to deal with all things Basketball. Looking forward to a bright future for St Ed's Basketball.

The merge of these two teams is to offer St Ed’s students the opportunity to play rather then having teams short of numbers. I realise this may put out students from other schools but I am sure Tamworth Touch will be able to find those students a team. These changes have been communicated to Tamworth Touch also.
