Christmas Concert

What a wonderful night the St Mary's community had last night with our End of Year Picnic and Concert!  The children performed superbly  and it was great to see our new Preps for 2020 join us for the first time!  Thank you to everyone involved and a special thanks to Mooroopna Kiwanis Club for allowing us to borrow their stage decorations.

Mooroopna Carols

Well done to the St Mary's choir and Mrs Hicks for their wonderful performance at the Mooroopna Carols on Saturday night.  The children did our school proud!

End of Year Mass

Our End of Year Mass was a beautiful celebration last Friday.  Thank you to Mrs Lee for preparing such a wonderful liturgy to celebrate the end of the school year.  Well done to all our readers, singers and dancers!

Gr 6 Celebration Night

We farewelled our Gr 6 students in style on Monday night with a fantastic celebration night.  Thank you so much to the Gr 5/6 staff for preparing such a high quality ceremony, it really was a special night for the children and their families! 

I would especially like to thank and congratulate our wonderful Gr 6 students who have been outstanding role models to the rest of the school this year.  We wish them all the very best for their future and thank them for everything they have contributed to St Mary’s over the years.

An important part of the evening was the presenting of Gr 6 Awards.  Congratulations to the following students:

ICAS Results

End of Year Reports

Semester 2 Reports are now available on our online Parent Access Module (PAM).  Please take the time to read through the reports and discuss goals for 2020.  Thank you to the teachers who have spent many hours compiling the reports.  Please contact the office if you have any difficulties accessing the reports.

School Board

Please find below, the results from our Parent Survey for 2019.  I am very pleased with the level of satisfaction among our parent body and we will continue to look for areas of improvement that arise from the results.  Thank you for such a large response to the survey.

Support For Regulating Emotions 

The CASEA Program is an early intervention service for young children (focusing mainly on children in Prep to Year 3) with challenging behaviours and difficulties in regulating emotions.  If you would like your child to take part in the program or have any questions please contact me at school.  See flyer below:

ICan Network

ICan is an organisation who facilitate programs for children on the Autism spectrum or children with learning differences or anxiety.  There will be a program running from St Mel's school in 2020 that some of our families may be interested in.  Please read the attached brochure and contact me if you are interested.

Gr 6 Scholarship Opportunity

Each year Rotary award the Graeme Cross Memorial Scholarship to an outstanding Gr 6 student. See document below for application details.

Christmas Eve Family Mass

All families are welcome to join us for Christmas Eve mass in the Marian Centre.  Carols will begin at 6:30pm and mass shortly after at 7pm.  There are always a lot of families from school there so please come along!
