Woorabinda Camp 2016

On Monday 25 April twenty-six Year 4 and 5 students departed Jells Park PS to enjoy a week long camp at Woorabinda. The students attended the camp along with students from other schools in our area.

The week long camp saw the students make new friends through mixed activity groups and sharing dorm rooms.

On day one the students took a bushwalk to a campfire ground where they built their own fire and used it to cook their lunch of sausages and vegetables. They then walked into camp and had a tour before dinner and an evening of 'getting to know you' games.

The rest of the week saw the students participating in activities such as the zipline, low ropes course, high ropes course, nature walk, canoeing, archery, bush crafts and initiative games. In the evenings the students enjoyed a disco, night time hike and a campfire.

On the last morning all of the students competed in a Quest with their activity group, putting to use all of the teamwork skills they had learnt throughout the week.

All of the students had an amazing time and we thank Mr Small, Mrs Toner and Miss McLeod for giving up their time to join our students on this wonderful experience.
