VCE VET music final SAC performance..

A year of hard work for the Year 2 VCE VET Music students culminated in the final performance of the year in the Crate on Thursday August 11th. Students performed their final SAC performance in front of a crowd of peers, friends and family as they explored their performance concepts for their upcoming exams.

The night was a success and provided a great opportunity for students to perform one last time before their assessment wraps up for the year. Isabella Di Giacomo presented a performance of country and pop hits, before Elise Favorito wowed the crowd with her performance of a selection of classical piano repertoire. This was followed by John Paul Jarlego’s synthesis of pop ballads and contemporary violin, Maddison Gallagher’s folk take on modern pop hits and Sondra Di Benedetto & Iorah Tyrell’s acoustic celebration of pop-punk. Thank you to everyone who attended the night – as well as supporting the students performing we also raised money for the College’s Timor Leste fundraising through the entry fee charged.

All members of the class would like to thank their teachers, friends and most importantly their families for their continued support this year. As students prepare for their performance exams on Monday October 10th and Tuesday October 11th, please wish them the best of luck.

Fundraising on The Green

On the 11th of August 2016, the Year 12 RE Band Class held a Krispy Kreme Fundraising event on The Green. The donuts were sold at lunchtime with musical guests performing to support Timor Leste. An amazing effort was made, with $500 being raised! Thank you to all students and staff who supported this cause and to our wonderful performers: Sondra Di Benedetto, Iorah Tyrell, Elise Favorito, Nicole Causing, Maddison Gallagher, Joel Spiteri, Mikhaela Cugliari and also Justin Carreon and Ryan Giurlanda. Thank you also to Morgana and the Technical Production team for putting in hard work into planning and setting up the stage for this special event!
