WELLBEING
Well it is inevitable, Autumn has arrived and Winter will not be far behind. Although this time of year is colourful in many ways and can be a beautiful time of the year there are many “lergies” that can bring us to a grinding halt.
Please find shared with you some information from The Royal Children's Hospital in regards to Hygiene. It is important that we ourselves are involved in regular hygiene practices modelling to our children and students how to best avoid “germs”. Please ensure your read the following information and instill good hygiene practices in your home that can be used at school also.
As well as good hygiene practices it is important that you keep your children at home if they are unwell. Don’t forget to call the office and leave a message if you know that your child will be absent due to illness.

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
Easter Season
As we finish the period within the Catholic Church of Lent, we enter the Easter Season which spans 50 days from Easter Sunday to Pentecost Sunday. Lent is a time of preparation for the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, so is the Easter season as we await the coming of the Holy Spirit which Jesus told his disciples of before he died ‘And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever — the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. John 14:16–18
Project Compassion
Throughout the period of Lent, the Social Justice Leaders have been working hard to raise money to support Caritas and the amazing work that they do. As a whole school we aimed to raise over $500 and it is will absolute delight to announce that we raised over $1000!!!!!!
A BIG shout out to Year 4 as their class raised the most money.
Holy Week Liturgies
At the end of last term and the first week of Term 2, each class presented the Holy Week Stories to the whole school. This provided the students with an opportunity to explore one of the Holy Stories in more detail and share their knowledge with the rest of the school. It is a wonderful time to gather together as a Catholic community and strengthen our relationships with God.
Anzac Service
Last Wednesday the 24th of April, the school community had the privilege of being able to join the residence at the Anzac Hostel in their annual Anzac Service. The Year 6 students joined the residents for morning tea which enabled them to connect with members of our wider community.
Holy Eucharist
Term 2 marks the beginning of the preparation for the sacrament of The Holy Eucharist. The Grade 3 students begin their journey to receiving the body and blood of Christ and joining him at his table.
