SPX 1st XI Football Queensland Tour: SPX 1st XI Football had a busy Easter holiday period playing a total of twelve matches, winning ten drawing one and losing just one - the EREA final in Brisbane - to old rivals Gregory’s Terrace. Returning to Sydney we played in the two-day St Andrew’s Cup competition going unbeaten and just missing the Cup final by a single goal but progressing to win the St Andrew’s Plate in a penalty shoot out against Riverview.
In the second week we went to The Kings School and won a trial 4-0 with Captain Matt Davey scoring all four goals. Thanks go to Mr Yue, Mr Semaan and Mrs Dempsey for giving their holiday time to accompany the squad to Queensland.
