ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL'S REPORT
May - Term 2, 2021
It’s been a busy couple of weeks of learning at Western Heights College and I’d like to thank our staff and students for the hard work that they’ve put into their learning.
All of our senior students completing a Unit 3 and 4 VCE subject participated in a practice General Achievement Test, which allowed students to prepare for the real test on the June 9. The three hour test required great concentration, with our students to receive feedback on how they can improve their result for next month.
Our Year 7 and 9 students have all been participating in the NAPLAN testing, with students completing the Reading, Writing and Conventions of Language Testing to date. The testing period will conclude with the Numeracy testing. Students have adapted well to the online testing and it has been pleasing to see the students take their performance so seriously. We look forward to seeing these results in the coming weeks.
As the term progresses our Year 10 students and Year 11 VCE students will have the opportunity to participate in their examination period. It is a great opportunity to improve our examination skills and demonstrate our learning from the semester.
