Year 10 Chinese excursion

On the 11th of May, the Year 10 students of Chinese attended the Chinese Cultural Day Forum at the Chinese Consul-General in Melbourne. It was a rare opportunity for the students to visit the Chinese Consulate-General as it is the first time it has been opened to the secondary school students. Around 300 students from various high schools all over Melbourne came to gather at the venue.

There were demonstrations of  Chinese martial arts, Chinese traditional clothing, and Chinese popular culture. Students were able to participate in the hands-on activities and workshops, including Chinese herbal sachets, Chinese traditional instruments, and Chinese VR technologies. In addition to the Chinese art and musical performances, there were also trivia quizzes.
