Open Day Concert – Postponed

Sadly, at this stage our concerts have been postponed due to Covid. We will reschedule as soon as we are able.

Here are some activities students may like to do if we go into lockdown.

Dance

In dance this week we have been revising the steps to Mambo Italiano in years 2 – 4.  Years 5 & 6 may also like to practise this dance. We certainly will be performing it when we have Italian Day.

Rhythm Notation

I’ve selected an old favourite for students to tap along to. I’d love to see some interesting home-made instruments performing this routine.

Drums

Many students have been successful at playing the basic rock beat on the drum kit.

Singing

In singing this year we learnt solfege with corresponding hand signs. Here’s an example:

Battle of the Bands

For years 5 and 6, please keep practising your songs for Battle of the Bands. If you don’t have your instrument at home do lots of listening.
