College Dining

Last week saw us return to one lunch sitting.  It is great to have everyone back together, giving us that whole school feel and it makes getting information and messages out to everyone much easier.

Unfortunately, over the last couple of weeks we have had some issues with several forks and spoons being bent and twisted out of shape.  These are then being discarded in bins, hidden in napkin holders etc. This is a pointless and costly act, resulting in the College unnecessarily having to outlay for replacement.

We recently re-instated the opportunity for students to be able to access tea, coffee and milo at break times. Unfortunately, some students are overriding the clicking mechanisms on the dispensers, which has not only damaged the equipment, but has completely blown out the consumption of products, particularly the milo.  If these actions continue, then the privilege of accessing the dispensers may need to be withdrawn.

In addition to this matter, some of our senior students' responds to the kitchen staff who pointed this out to them, was disappointing to hear. To the majority of students who are doing the right thing and being respectful, thank you.

Information Triangle

Information Triangles have been placed back on the dining tables and other areas throughout the College.  This is a fantastic way to disseminate all types of information to the students. Ms Stringer, along with Residential staff spend a lot of time designing the A4 inserts and change them regularly for the benefit of the students.

I ask that students take the time to read these and not deface them and please do not use them as a cylindrical bin.

Country Week

Country Week is fast approaching with all teams finishing their final preparations in anticipation of a fabulous week of sports in Perth.

It is a requirement that all students who are attending have a complete set of College PE clothes for the week. Please check that you have everything that you need and don’t forget mouth guards and any other sporting equipment you require. A water proof coat may also be worthwhile having if we end up with weather like we have had this week.
