7-10 Campus: from 8.30am before school and until 3.40pm after school.
Senior Campus: from 8.00am before school and until 3.40pm after school.
It is advisable for students to arrive at school after supervision begins unless they have:

COMPASS APP
DOWNLOAD NOW and Stay up to date!!
Compass App is a great way to access your child's timetable, see scheduled learning tasks, approve events, read latest school notifications, school reports and many more. Simply Download the App from your App Store/Play Store.
COMPASS CARDS
Can we please remind students that cards need to be at school and available at all times. Cards must be carried to sign in and out of the Compass Kiosks, to borrow books from the library, to access printers/photocopiers around the school, and to purchase items at the canteen. An ideal place to keep your card is in your laptop bag, student diary or pencil case. Lost cards must be replaced: replacement cards can be ordered from Compass for $10. If a student also requires an ID Card for public transport/concessions, it is useful to purchase a second card so that one permanently remains at school.
YEAR 10 WORK EXPERIENCE
If your child has not returned their Work Experience Arrangement forms, they are now extremely overdue.
I am very mindful that a lot of employers are not placing Work Experience students in 2021 due to the COVID-19 uncertainty. If students are having trouble finding a placement, please ask your child to come and see me as soon as possible.
Students are allowed to do a placement with family and friends and, for this year only, we have given them permission, if they have a part time job, to do a placement with their employer. Family and friends are the best avenue to securing a placement.
If you are struggling to find a placement within the Work Experience week, please note students have permission to do Work Experience another time (holidays preferred), but please do not book a placement during the following times:
3 August - 13 August
Year 11 Course Selections
1 November - 3 December
Exams and Early Commencement
The students are able to attend a placement in the week after Early Commencement has finished (6 to 10 December).
I look forward to receiving any outstanding Work Experience Arrangement forms as soon as possible.

Work Experience Coordinator
OPTIMA SEMPER
THE OPTIMA magazine was developed by students within the SLC (Student Leadership Council) and launched last year. Our second issue is packed with tonnes of exciting interviews and achievements of students from Years 7-12, as well as insights into some of your favourite colleagues. We thank the incredible Lu Yang (Year 11) who put this issue together, taking the reins from the spectacular work of Tavishek (Tavi) Sharma last year. We could not be prouder of our SLC students and the entire Frankston High School student body for their passion and commitment to such an array of hobbies.
We hope you enjoy Issue 2!

STUDENTS DRIVING TO SCHOOL
Any student of legal driving age who intends to drive to school, either on a regular basis or occasionally, must comply with the school requirements and is required to complete the Parent Permission and Student Agreement Form. These forms are attached below and also available from the Senior Office.
SCHOOL DROP OFF AND PICK UP
As we are all aware, we have very limited parking in the Frankston High School grounds for parents picking up their children at the end of the school day. If you organise to meet your children in the drop off zone and they are not waiting for you when you arrive, please do not block the passage of cars trying to get through. If all of the unofficial spaces to the sides of the drop off zone are occupied when you arrive, please continue through the centre of the drop off zone, turn left out of the school into Foot Street, proceed down to the roundabout at Baileyana Street and then do a loop back up and around the Towerhill Road roundabout and back into the drop off zone.
Our preference has always been for parents to park in one of the side streets surrounding the school and wait for children to come to you. Thank you very much to the many parents who already do this.
It is much safer for students to be dropped off to school at the gate of Baileyana Street and then for them to walk across the oval.
Also, a reminder, face masks are mandatory on public transport.
We thank you for your cooperation.
CROSSING THE ROAD
REMINDER TO BUS TRAVELLERS
All students who travel to and from school via the public buses are reminded to only use the black and white ‘zebra crossings’ on Towerhill Road and Foot Street to get to and from bus stops, before and after school.
Traffic is extremely congested on the streets before and after school. It is not safe for students to cross the roads anywhere but the zebra crossings at any time, but especially before and after school. Parents are asked to discuss with their children, the importance of this matter.
