Fencing Club - Student Report

At the beginning of the fencing club, some things needed to be completed. It began with the building of our personal sabres. A few lunchtimes, PVC pipes, duct tape and foam later, it was done. Unfortunately, that’s where Term 1 concluded and practice would have to wait until next term and none of the attendees could wait.

As soon as Term 2 started, we donned our helmets and began to learn numerous techniques from as simple as stepping back and forth to lunging for feints. With basic drills and lots of games, everyone there had plenty of fun fencing each other over the helmet and practicing different cuts and blocks.
