Sub School News

Welcome to another week at Banyan Fields PS newsletter. The last two weeks have been very busy in and around school. Last week we held our annual May Book Fair and Grandparent's Day. Both events were very well attended. I would like to extend my thanks for the support that the community showed toward these events and in particular our Book Fair. Thanks to your support over $6,000 worth of books were sold, with over $2,000 raised, that we are able to put towards new books for our school.

This week we held the annual National Simultaneous Storytime with all classes participating in the event on Wednesday 24th May. Over 2 million children across Australia joined in this national event celebrating the value of reading and literacy. This years book was the Speedy Sloth by Rebecca Young and Heath McKenzie. After reading the story classes participated in a literacy activity. Thank you to FB, 1L and 5N for sharing their work with us.

We have more Foundation school tours coming up on 6th of June and 13th of June. More details about these can be found on our 2024 Foundation enrolment page. We are very excited to share part of our virtual tour with you. Feel free to watch the tour below.

Digital Technology Experience

We would like to offer Banyan Families the opportunity to come in and see some of the wonderful learning happening inside the classrooms. Mr Bailey has kindly offered to open his doors for Banyan Families to view a Robotics Lesson on the 16th of June at 9am.
