Principal News

We had a wonderful celebration for our Grandparents Day that was held on 17 May. I would like to thank all of the Grandparents and special familiy members who took the time to come in to school to take part. One of the highlights for me was seeing our Grandparent visitors give their grandchildren big, warm hugs and hearing the conversations that were happening in our classrooms between grandparents and their grandchildren about the similarities between going to school now and in the past. I managed to get some photos of some fabulous student work from our Grandparents morning.

We are seeing an increase in illnesses occurring with the colder weather coming along. Families are encouraged to ensure that children come to school with school uniform clothing items that will keep them warm during outdoor activites. Students who are unwell should not attend school.

With regard to COVID-19, It is recommended that rapid antigen tests (RATs) are used by students and staff:

-If you have symptoms of COVID-19 infection, no matter how mild

-If you are a household or close contact of someone who has COVID-19

-If you are a social contact of someone who has COVID-19.

The Department of Health recommends that all Victorians should report their positive RAT result to the Department of Health online, or by calling 1800 675 398. Masks are encouraged to be worn at school. All classrooms have been provided with hand sanitiser and air purifiers. RATs are available for no cost locally at, the Frankston North Community Centre. Students who have a positive RAT are recomended to isolate for at least 5 days and until their symptoms have resolved.
