Swimming Program 2023

A reminder that our 5 day intensive Swimming Program starts next week! Students will be participating in the Swim and Survive School Swimming and Water Safety program at Aquanation which covers the mandatory curriculum requirements of the Victorian Department of Education and Training for State and Catholic schools. The content of each lesson covers stroke development and personal survival techniques in, on and around water. The skills learnt during the program provide children with a swimming and water safety foundation that may enable them to safely enjoy aquatic activities in a limited range of environments. The school swimming and water safety lessons cover 4 key components:

  • Underwater Skills
  • Entries & Exits
  • Stroke Development
  • Water Safety

During the scheduled swimming and water safety program, students will be required to wear light clothing in the water as a part of the curriculum requirements. This will be

required on Thursday - light shorts and t-shirt worn over swimwear is recommended.

A reminder all detailed information is available on Operoo.

A big thank you to all the parents coming throughout the week to assist with various sessions!
