Personal and Social Capability

CURRICULUM FOCUS

In the Resilience Project this week we are learning about the way we feel during different activities. Our focus will be on the way we feel when moving to music.

VOCABULARY

Feelings: Our emotions. For example, happy, sad, calm, excited.

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

With your child discuss the ways that we can feel. For example: upset, excited, lonely, calm, mindful.

Before doing an activity at home or when you are out, ask your child to reflect on and identify how they are feeling before they start the activity. Then either whilst your child is completing the activity or after they have finished it ask them to share with you how they feel now.

Have your child reflect on how their mood/feelings changed. What was it that made their mood/feelings change?
