The Year 8 Food and Nutrition students loved creating pizzas in class. With a focus on the Australian Guide to Healthy eating, they made their own dough and toppings. 

It was delicious fun. 

 

In our final week of Food and Nutrition students have demonstrated their baking skills. They used the hand beaters to cream butter and sugar and the folding technique when introducing the flour to their dough. They produced Honey Oat bars and Chocolate Chip cookies. Links have been made to the Australian Guide to Healthy Eating and how to adapt the recipes to cater for dietary needs.

 

The Year 9 Gourmet Traveller were transported to Italy and tested their pasta making skills for a lasagne. One student used the pasta machine to roll out their lasagne while the other prepared the filling. The students demonstrated great skill and time management.

Our Year 8 Wood Technology students have enjoyed learning to use tools to assemble a phone amplifier.
