P&C News 

Our recent Mothers Day Stall Raised $5000 for the P&C, thank you to the volunteers and to all the families who supported the event. 

 

Our Fundraising Subcommittee have some exciting events and fundraising opportunities planned for term 3 and 4, we look forward to sharing the details with you next term.

 

P&C Meetings and Membership

Our next General Meeting of 2023 will be held on Monday 31st of July at 4.30pm in the staff room.

As a parent of a student at our school, you are not automatically a member of the P&C. To become a member you must first attend a general meeting and present your membership application form in person, which is approved at the end of that meeting. 

 

This means that should an issue arise during the school year which you feel strongly about, and you are not yet a member, you will not be able to vote on the matter until you have attended a general meeting first… i.e., you will qualify to vote at your second meeting (the Annual General Meeting is the only meeting where a person may apply to become a member without being present)

 

To ensure you can have your say, please either join us at our next meeting, attend our AGM (or submit a membership application beforehand). Membership forms can be downloaded here [EM1] or are available from the uniform shop or by emailing pandc@palmbeachss.eq.edu.au.

 

Being part of the P&C is a great way to meet other parents and be involved in fundraising and supporting the school community. As a member of the P&C you have the opportunity to join the conversation on how funds raised are spent to enhance your child’s school experience. P&C meetings which are held week 4 and 8 of each term, please contact us at pandc@palmbeachss.eq.edu.au if you have any questions.
