Principal's Page

Dear Parents and Carers

My time at St Joseph's is coming to an end, my last day at the school will be next Wednesday 14 June 2023.  I wish to express my gratitude to the students, staff and parents of the school for the warm welcome and support you have afforded me throughout the past 6 months. I am especially grateful for the patience the students have shown towards me remembering their names and the enthusiastic way they enter into the life of the school.

Mr Miguel Aguilera will be Acting Principal and Mrs Kylie Grose will be Acting Assistant Principal from Thursday 15 June until the end of the term. Mrs Charadia returns to St Joseph's in Term 3.

The greetings I receive on morning gate duty really captures the Catholic culture of welcome, community and belonging at St Joseph's Bulli. I wish you all the best for the remainder of the year.

God Bless!

For all things at St Joseph’s, give thanks!

What are you grateful for this week?

Philip Moore

Acting Principal

Think carefully about early departures from school and holidays

It is a legal requirement for students to be at school for the full school day. At times students have a need to depart from school early. I gently remind you as parents of the need for students to be at school for the whole day. Every minute of learning is important!  Please make appointments outside of school hours.

If you must take your child from school early please email the school office prior to 9:00am with the expected time of departure and a reason.  Office staff will advise your child's teacher.

Parents are asked not to arrive at school requesting for their child to leave without prior notice. This can be disruptive to classes especially when they are not in the classroom at the time.

Any student arriving late or departing early is marked as a partial absence on the class roll.

Principal Awards - Friday 16 June 2023

The following students will receive their Principal Awards, Friday 16 June (Term 2 Week 8).

YEAR 4

Maisie C4th
Elizabeth K4th

YEAR 6

How does my child receive a Principal's Award?

Class teachers nominate students for Blue Merit Awards and are presented at the weekly assembly.  When five Blue Merit Awards have been received, students send them to the school office to be recorded and are then eligible for a Principal’s Award. When students attain their 4th Principal Award, they are awarded a Principal’s Medallion at an assembly. End of Term awards can be included as part of the 5 awards.
