Values Awards
Recognising students use of school values
One of our major focuses is the implementation of values education within the school. Our first step to promoting values is actually recognising students who are displaying good values in the class, in the school community and in the wider community. Good demonstrations could include:
RESILIENCE: Continually working hard on a task that the student thought was beyond them
COMPASSION: Recognising when a student or staff member might need some support and helping them out
SUCCESS: Setting a classroom goal and achieving this goal
CITIZENSHIP: Being great role models, assisting students new to the school or helping pack up a classroom
Staff will be selecting a few students every week who have shown these values and writing an entry in our Compass Portal. Recognition will occur at 10 points, 20 points and 40 points.
The following recognition will occur:
10 points | 20 points | 40 points |
