Project Compassion

As our main fundraiser for Project Compassion, some students in Year 6 have organised a Disco. On Thursday March 15th, children are invited to wear “coloured clothes” (with runners) and bring a gold coin as a donation to Project Compassion.

The Disco will be from 2:30 – 3:20pm for Prep – Year 2 children. Year 3 – 6 children will have their Disco from 3:40 – 4:30pm. Parents must collect children by 4:30pm SHARP. Please indicate via Care Monkey if your child will be participating in the Disco.

Enhancing Catholic School Identity

Over the next few weeks, we will be asking staff, students and parents to participate in the Enhancing Catholic School Identity (ECSI) survey. For parents, the purpose of this survey research is to gain meaningful insights into how your son or daughter's school community views its Catholic identity today and how such identity might be shaped for tomorrow. The survey should take about 55 minutes to complete.

We would like to invite our parent community to complete the survey, and will make available laptops and support with accessing the survey on Thursday 22nd March from 2:00pm. If you are able to complete the survey, could you please contact Dan by 15th March.

St Patrick's Day

On Friday 16th March a representative group of our Year 6 students will be attending the St Patrick’s Day Mass at the Cathedral in Melbourne.  This is a fantastic opportunity for our school leaders and Confirmation candidates to visit the Cathedral and participate in a formal Mass celebration with other Secondary and Primary schools from around Melbourne.

At school, we will be acknowledging the life and work of St Patrick and completing some activities associated with St Patrick and his home country of Ireland.

We will have our Friday Liturgy, focusing on St Patrick, presented by our Year 2 (A & J) class groups at 2:45pm.

Easter Liturgies

We will be preparing for the celebration of Easter during Holy Week. Each day of Holy Week, a class group will be presenting a Liturgy around one of the events of Jesus’ journey to the cross on Good Friday.

We invite our families to these Liturgies, which will be presented at the end of the school day, as follows:

Monday 26th March         2:50 – 3:15pm          Palm Sunday             P / Year 1

Tuesday 27th March        2:50 – 3:15pm          Holy Thursday           Year 2

Wednesday 28th March 2:50 – 3:15pm          Holy Thursday           Year 3 / 4

Thursday 29th March      12:30 – 1:00pm       Good Friday                Year 5 / 6

We will celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus on our return to school after the holiday break.
