Facilities report

Exciting times at Ringwood SC. Recently a new Mod 5 (double classroom) arrived on site and is currently being installed beside the cricket nets. Enjoy the photos. Planning towards the new Junior School is continuing and hopefully the project will go to tender in the next few weeks. What a relief it will be to see the old portables finally off the site!

The Facilities team has put much effort into improving the grounds over recent weeks, particularly after a hot January and the gardens are starting to once again pick up.  The Facilities Committee kicks off on Thursday 25 February, 7.30pm , Conference Room,  Administration Building and we welcome all parents who would like to be a part of this exciting committee.

Summer Working Bee 2016 Friday 18th March 5.30pm-7.00pm –All parents and students invited!

The Facilities Committee would love to see a big turn out for the working bee. It is amazing how much can get done in a short time. Come along and make a difference to your child’s learning environment.

Koorie Engagement

Hi, my name is Alice Young, I am the Koorie Engagement Support Officer from the Department of Education and Training based at the regional office.

I will be working at Ringwood Secondary College one day a week on Mondays within the Wellbeing team.  I work across two local government areas, Maroondah and Knox and work with all early year services, primary and secondary schools to help support and improve educational outcomes, participation and engagement for all Koorie children and young people.  I look forward to meeting all students, staff and families at Ringwood Secondary College and hope to also work towards increasing cultural awareness and recognition of First Nations People.

If you would like to have a yarn with me, I would be more than happy to meet with you. Please see the Welfare Team.
