Primary Grandparents Day

Primary Grandparents Day is on Thursday 12th September. Invitations have been sent home and there is a copy of the invitation on The HUB. RSVPs can be made via phone to Mrs Melanie Archbold on 5776 5220 or email rsvp@calrossy.nsw.edu.au with Primary Grandparents as the subject.

Hair

This continues to be a problem. Students will be spoken to this week, if their hair style does not meet the school standards. Whether it is uniform, hair or manners, our standards are high as we are teaching our children to take pride in themselves, develop respect and take responsibility.

Hair should be neat and tidy. Hair styles must be conventional (eg. no unkempt hair, shave sections of hair or eyebrows, undercuts, mohawks, gel uneven grades, shorter than a number 2)

Girls– hair longer that the collar must be tied back with plain navy or white bands/ribbons. Only school approved scrunchies

Boys– hair must be above the collar and eyebrows, and of a style and length unlikely to cause comment. Tied back hair is not permitted.

Year 3 Camp – Parent Briefing

As this is the first school trip, overnight for Year 3, parents are invited to a briefing, before we depart for camp. Thursday 29thAugust at 5:30pm in the Year 3 classrooms. Teachers will talk parents through the activities, how parents can help their child to prepare for camp, answer any last minute packing questions and the staff attending will be available to answer questions. We’re looking forward to a great time away!

Primary Super Heroes

Our Calrossy Primary students demonstrated their super hero powers yesterday by being Super Hero’s for kids with Muscular Dystrophy and taking part in Super Cape Day. As well as purchasing books from the Book Fair this week, students were able to buy a Super Hero Cape with all proceeds going to Muscular Dystrophy Australia. Well done everyone!
