Principal Post

Dear Families,

Welcome back to Term 2 and Happy Easter!  To those who celebrated  Easter on either of these past two weekends we hope that you had a  wonderful time with your family and friends.

In the Catholic and Orthodox tradition, Christ's resurrection brings us the hope of new life.   Regardless of our situations we  are reminded to have and bring hope emulating Jesus' example of being  people who reach out to those who need hope,  love, care and friendship.

As we return to St John Vianney's this term our wish for every student is for a most productive term, full of learning and progress. We hope too  that the students self esteem and wellbeing is well nutured. It certinly is terrific to have another term when we are all together onsite!!

We especially welcome new students

Isis- Mary, Maisie, Aarush and Arshita to our school. We wish these students and their families every support and hope that they soon will feel well connected  to our school community.

For some students the return to school can't come quick enough,  but for others the return after a break,  can be a time of anxiety. Sometimes this is momentary but for others it can linger.  Mostly the students settle well once they see their friends and teachers. The best way to deal with anxiety is to listen and reassure your child, to look for positives,  but to ensure also, that your child comes to school each day. If the school can assist a situation please email and talk with the child's teacher. We are always here too help.
