Mothers’ Day Breakfast

Following a successful inaugural breakfast in 2021, the PFA would love to invite you to come and celebrate the Mothers of CPS together again!  Join us for a delicious breakfast at Major Mitchell Café, 122 Grange Road Carnegie (cnr Glenhuntly Rd) on Friday 13th May from 7:30 – 9am.

Tickets are on sale now in Qkr and include a range of gourmet breakfast options, as well as coffee, tea, hot chocolate or juice, and the option of a glass of Prosecco on arrival.  The full menu can be viewed in the attached flier.

Numbers are very limited, so book your place soon!  Sales will close on 10th May if not sold out prior.

Apple and Pear Fundraiser

With the end of Term 1 bringing plenty of indulgences with our Hot Cross Bun drive, and Easter Raffle, the PFA is kicking off Term 2 with something a little lighter, healthier and more wholesome – a fruit fundraiser!

Every year, Sherwood Park Orchard receives plenty of eager visitors to pick their own fruit.  This year, the PFA has again organised for Sherwood Park Orchard to pick apples and pears for us.  Choice includes Pink Lady and Granny Smith apples, as well as Packham pears – each are $7.50 for a 2kg bag – a great price for farm fresh fruit, delivered direct to Carnegie!  Every 2kg bag sold will bring $2.50 back to the school.

Orders are open in Qkr until Thursday (5th May), and pick up will be from school next Tuesday, 10th May.

Eggstraordinary Easter Raffle

A fun morning was enjoyed on the last day of Term 1, with many students sporting Easter inspired accessories, and big smiles, as the paperless raffle was drawn!  An enormous thank you again to generous local businesses Lizzy’s Chocolates and Print on Wood, as well as to Candice Hall, Mark Fisher, Lucy Gow, Sian Holm, Mr Nathan and all the other PFA volunteers, staff and Grade 6 school leaders who helped to make the raffle such a success.

The lucky winner of the 5kg first prize was Yating in Grade 1!

Entertainment Books

A reminder that sales are open for the 2022 Entertainment ‘Book’.  The ‘book’ is now fully digital, with a searchable and location based app that is regularly updated, and has thousands of offers for dining, entertainment, travel and more.  CPS will receive 20% of the value of any purchase made using this link, so please feel free to share with your friends and family members.

Support local businesses who are supporting our school

Support the School each time you shop at Botanical Creations (124 Grange Road) or Bakers Delight Carnegie!  At either of these businesses, mention Carnegie Primary School and 5% of the sale will be donated to us, or put towards new garden products for the school.

Want to get involved?

We would love any interested parents to join us tomorrow (Weds 4th May) from 7:30pm in the staff room for our next PFA Meeting.

We also need willing parent volunteers to help run many of our events and initiatives.  Helping out from time to time is a great way to bring fun events to life for the students, connect with other parents, and to get a glimpse into primary school life!

Please have a look at our Term 2 volunteering opportunities, and sign up for those that suit you, here - https://signup.com/go/cMaCqZC (it's super easy, and you will not need to register an account or keep a password on signup.com).  These opportunities will be regularly updated throughout the term.

Many thanks in advance!
