Year 7 and 8 Health

The Year 7 and 8 students explored the topic of ‘Drug Education’ throughout Term 3. Their learning journey took the students to CS Square, where they surveyed the general public about their concerns about drug use within the local community. These findings fuelled our students’ research into the broad topic of Drugs for all of Term 2.

Students participated in Project Based Learning around this topic, and created some fantastic pieces of work which were exhibited in the Northern Building for the last couple of weeks. It was wonderful to see how the students embraced the same topic in such a variety of different ways.

The remainder of Term 3 will be spent learning about Puberty and Change in Year 7, and Respectful Relationships in Year 8.

Year 7-9 Physical Education

This term, students in Year 7, 8 and 9 are focusing on the topic of ‘Net and Wall games’ in their practical PE classes. Students are practising and developing their skills in sports such as Volleyball, Badminton, Table Tennis and Tennis.

Below are photos of a Year 8 class doing some peer teaching of volleyball with a Grade 6 class.
