Kitchen & Garden

Term 4 will be a busy term in the garden as we will be running gardening classes for all years. We will be learning all about our indigenous garden and Monty Primary’s role in Banyule’s Wildlife Corridor Program. Exploring our SAKG garden will be a lot of fun as we and learn all about plants, soil, seasonality, and our closed loop sustainable composting system.

Garden Morning Tea - Fridays

We are very proud of our Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program and would like to share it with the school community.

In Term 4 we are starting a Garden Morning Tea where parents and members of the school community can get together over a cup of tea, have a chat and do some gardening together in our SAKG and indigenous gardens.

The Morning Tea will be on Friday Mornings in Term 4 from 9:05am – 10:00am and our first morning tea will be on Friday 19 October at the garden shed.

You don’t need to bring anything (not even gardening skills) as we have all the equipment needed.

Chickens

A huge thank you to our weekend and holiday chicken carers who have taken the time to care for our beloved chooks. Our ladies rely on your love and care on the weekends and holidays, so if you are interested in becoming a carer, please contact Claire via the office - I am more than happy to introduce you to the chickens and run through the process.

I have updated our chicken roster to include Term 4 and the summer holidays so please sign up via this link:
