Resource Centre

Year 8 students have been writing reviews of some of the books they are reading for the Premier’s Reading Challenge. They are short, “in-a-nutshell” reviews that give expression to the students’ responses to each book. I especially like the way they have presented them with various borders and background colours that highlight their statements.

Being creative, sharing ideas and finding ways to express them are pathways many of us – and, in particular, our students – may develop over the next few weeks as we look into our own resources more and more.

Keep reading, folk. Keep writing and drawing. Keep sharing ideas and bring more and more words, pictures and music into our world to paint images of hope and kindness, sympathy and fun. Let’s wrap each other in the promises of our Faith.

Premier's Reading Challenge

We have had more completed PRC forms handed in over the last fortnight. I had some of Mrs Erkelenz’ students come in yesterday to enthusiastically hand in their forms. We have had our first Secondary student, Joyce, complete the challenge. For Primary we’ve had Imogen, Parker, Laura, Hannah, Emerson, Hannah, Laila, Sarah, Asher, Ava & Katherine finish their 12 books. Well done to you all.

As you can see from the photo, our PRC Progress Thermometer is on its fourth level of names now.

23 weeks to go….keep those forms coming in….keep reading!
