St Mary of the Cross MacKillop

Next Sunday, 8th August, we commemorate Australia's first Saint on her feast day.  Mary MacKillop expressed her trust in the loving of God by founding a Congregation which was dependent on God’s Providence and was devoted to the service of the poor. Its members were women who worked in a simple, ordinary way to educate the children of the poor and bring them practical help and the message of their human dignity.

Students and Staff will come together during our regular Friday assembly to remember St Mary of the Cross MacKillop in a Liturgy.

As we strive to be love in our world Mary says to us:

Let us study the Heart of God and, in doing so, we shall learn many beautiful lessons of patience and love. (Mary MacKillop 11/10/1871)

If our intention is pure and we have love in our hearts we shall have God with us.

(Mary MacKillop 15/9/1890)

May God bless you all. With all the love in my heart I pray that God may do this.

(Mary MacKillop 27/7/1899)
